Hello to the most incredible community!
I hope you’re doing well and continuing to prioritize your health — even when life gets busy.
This week’s questions all point back to something I talk about often: inflammation. Whether it shows up as seasonal allergies, difficulty losing weight, or even migraines, your body is giving you signals that something deeper needs to be addressed.
The goal of this newsletter is to help you understand those signals — and more importantly, what you can actually do about them.
Thank you for being here. Now on to the questions!

If you’re trying to lower inflammation, start here
If you’re dealing with seasonal allergies, inflammation, or even something like a fatty liver… you have to look at what you’re putting into your body every single day.
Especially first thing in the morning.
Most people go straight to coffee.
But coffee can increase cortisol, irritate the gut, and add more stress to a body that’s already inflamed.
I’ve never tasted anything like this.
Pique’s Nandaka is what I’ve been recommending instead. It’s smooth, easy to drink, and you can feel the difference right away — calm, steady energy without the crash.
They call it the “Rolls-Royce of coffee alternatives”, and once you try it, you understand why. It’s designed to support your nervous system, digestion, and long-term vitality — not just give you a quick boost.
As we move through allergy season and into busier routines, having something that supports your body instead of working against it makes a huge difference.

Q: Hi Nurse Doza! I saw one of your videos about seasonal allergies. My whole family suffers, and a lot of us wind up getting sick. You mentioned NAC for allergies. How long do you take NAC for, and can kids take it? Thank you for all your help!
A: Nurse Doza: I think NAC is a go-to supplement for anyone suffering from seasonal allergies. N-acetyl-cysteine (NAC) is a powerful antioxidant, made by the liver, that can help with inflammation. Seasonal allergies can lead to inflammation in the sinuses, eyes, throat, ears, and even lungs.
It’s the job of antioxidants like NAC to help reduce inflammation in the body, but tons of studies show NAC can decrease inflammation throughout the respiratory system, making it a more powerful option than Vitamin C or Zinc. I have given thousands of Vitamin IVs with NAC in them to clients and patients who have had colds, the flu, or had just been dealing with congestion and coughing. It helps them every time, and the added benefit of taking NAC is that it can also make another powerful antioxidant for the body called Glutathione, which can also reduce inflammation.
NAC has also been shown to thin mucus, and it has been used as an actual mucolytic medication for patients suffering from pneumonia, COPD, and emphysema. I have personally seen clients and patients cough up mucus from the lungs during and after NAC IVs and injections. I even remember this one client with cystic fibrosis, a buildup of mucus in the lungs, who would “hack up” mucus for hours after a weekly NAC injection. It works.
So, how long can one take NAC? The answer is…forever. NAC is naturally made in the liver, and we need nutrients from our diet to help the liver make a constant supply. But with 1 in 4 adults having a fatty liver, I am guessing most people’s liver has a hard time making NAC. And with all the added respiratory benefits, I have seen people who take oral NAC daily have fewer respiratory issues and infections.
If you want an amazing NAC supplement that also has Alpha Lipoic Acid (another Glutathione precursor), take our NAC+ supplement. Pair it with our Vitamin D3 & Vitamin K2 for added immune support (after all, your immune system is Vitamin D and most people are severely deficient.)

Q: Nurse Doza, can I get your help? I’ve been told I have a fatty liver and I think that’s the reason why I'm struggling to lose weight. I’ve tried Ozempic which didn’t work and I had my gallbladder taken out a few years ago. I am such a mess and I don’t know what to do.
A: Nurse Doza: Don’t give up! Weight loss is tough but a fatty liver can be the reason why your journey has not been successful. But here’s what to do to reverse your fatty liver.
How to reverse a fatty liver and lose weight successfully:
Develop the mindset that you have the power to make your liver healthy again.
Focus on a diet that includes real food. I like the Mediterranean diet as it’s high in Omega 3s which are deficient in a fatty liver.
Start fasting. 24-36 hrs, 1-4x/month. It can even lower insulin resistance and visceral fat. This is our Fasting podcast that explains how to do it successfully.
Eat more turmeric, garlic, broccoli, sauerkraut, and drink more green tea. If that doesn’t seem tasty to you, make sure you follow step 5.
Take our LIVER BOOST supplement. It's a multivitamin detox supplement that can even help with elevated liver enzymes in lab work. That’s powerful, and with that diet change we talked about, it can work even better and faster.
Cut back on processed foods and drinks like bread, pasta, tortillas, tortilla chips, BBQ, high fructose corn syrup, food dyes, beer, wine and cocktails that are loaded with corn syrup and added sugar.
Lift weights. Even 10 body squats a day can help lower blood sugar thus reducing the excessive sugar storage in the liver.
After you get your liver’s health back in order, start working on your gut. After all, you are most likely to develop a leaky gut before fatty liver since food goes into the intestines first before it enters the body to be taken to the liver. Our GUT powder which contains L-glutamine can help “patch up” the “holes” in leaky gut.

Q: Hello Nurse Doza. You had a recent video where you talked about migraines and a lab test called hsCRP. I’ve tried asking my doctor if I can get this test done and she ignored me and said let’s just do a food allergy test soon. Is there any other way I can get this done besides asking my primary?
A: Nurse Doza: Yes, there are now plenty of ways to get labs done when you want to and what you want to order.
Labs tell us the root cause of what’s going on. Most doctors only order very, very basic labs (like a Complete Blood Cell Count “CBC” and a Complete Metabolic Panel “CMP”) and they still don’t interpret these basic labs the right way. Plus these labs don’t tell the bigger picture.
I make it a standard for every one of our clients to get hsCRP (high sensitivity C Reactive Protein) ordered every year. It’s an inflammation test that can tell you if you have chronic or low grade inflammation (ideal hsCRP <1.0, optimal hsCRP is <0.5).
When above 1.0, an elevated hsCRP can be found in:
Migraines
Heart disease
Fatty liver
Diabetes & Insulin Resistance
Obesity
Autoimmune Disorders
You don’t have to wait for your PCP to order this for you. You can have your blood work done anytime throughout the year. There are several ways:
Any Lab Test Now - They are a nationwide lab draw station where you can walk in and order any individual lab panel without a doctor’s order.
Function Health - You not only get hsCRP, but hundreds of different labs ranging from autoimmune labs, to hormone labs and even genetic panels as an option.
Superpower Labs - Another lab panel option where you get over a hundred different labs panels including hsCRP ( I really liked their dashboard and education info!) but get this, Superpower has a way of calculating your biological age, and they base it off your hsCRP number!
Once you get your labs done through one of these methods, let’s go over them in an online consult. I am great at reviewing each lab panel and explaining them in a way where you will understand the results and I will provide a personalized plan to help you get any abnormal lab ranges into optimal range.
Your body is always communicating with you.
Symptoms like congestion, weight gain, fatigue, or migraines aren’t random — they’re signals. And when you start to understand what those signals mean, everything becomes easier to manage.
Start simple.
Support your liver. Lower inflammation. Pay attention to your labs.
And stay consistent.
If you need help putting all of this together into a plan that actually works for you, I’m here. Book a consult and we’ll go through everything step by step.
To your health,
Nurse Doza
